Kathryn C. Seely
About
Kathryn attended college at the State University of New York at Geneseo, where she studied Psychology and Sociology and graduated cum laude. Following college, Kathryn joined the firm as a legal assistant, working primarily on tax certiorari matters. Kathryn eventually left the firm to attend Albany Law School, where she graduated summa cum laude. During her time at Albany Law School, Kathryn was a member of the Albany Law Review and competition chair of the Karen C. McGovern Senior Prize Trials, as well as worked as a teaching assistant for Civil Procedure and Criminal Law, interned in the Immigration Law Clinic, and served as Executive Vice President of the Student Bar Association.
After law school, Kathryn clerked for the Hon. Gary L. Sharpe in the Northern District of New York for two years. During her tenure in the Northern District, she worked on a variety of matters including employment discrimination, civil rights actions under 42 U.S.C. ยง 1983, contract disputes, and social security appeals.
In addition to practicing law, Kathryn loves to travel and has been fortunate to have visited over 15 countries, including studying abroad in China. She is also a long-time fan of Survivor and the New England Patriots, and enjoys spending Sundays watching football with her husband and their cats.
