David R. Murphy
About
David has assisted individual and corporate property owners, as well as numerous municipalities in negotiating or litigating property tax disputes on numerous types of taxable property for over forty years. He has personally resolved or tried hundreds of complex property tax disputes on properties as diverse as large multi-unit apartment projects; condominiums and resort properties; retail and mixed-use commercial buildings and malls; fossil fuel, hydroelectric, and nuclear power plants; integrated manufacturing and warehouse/distribution facilities; horse breeding farms; wilderness great camps and conservation preserves; municipal and private reservoirs; hotels; marinas and food processing plants.
David has conducted trials in thirty-eight of New York State’s sixty-two counties and has briefed and argued appeals in all four of New York’s mid-level Appellate Divisions, as well as in the New York Court of Appeals. Whether he is representing a small family business or a Fortune “500” company, David brings the same level of energy and attention to detail to his client’s matters.
