The firm of Hacker Murphy announces its newest associate, Alishah Bhimani. Originally from Long Island, Alishah attended college at the State University of New York at Geneseo, where she majored in both Political Science and International Relations.
Following college, she attended Albany Law School and was a finalist in the Donna Jo Morse Negotiations Competition.
Alishah joined the firm as a law clerk during her second year of law school. Since starting at the firm, she discovered her passion for criminal defense and fighting for all those who are up against the government. As an associate, her practice includes a wide range of state and federal litigation matters, including civil rights actions under 42 U.S.C. § 1983.
In addition to practicing law, Alishah is an accomplished equestrian. In her spare time, she cares for her horse Theo and trains young horses.
Alishah is fluent in Spanish and loves to travel. She credits her parents, who were born in Colombia and Tanzania, with her love for learning about new cultures.
Hacker Murphy LLP has offices in Troy, Schenectady, Saratoga Springs and Albany.
